The topic of Ram Setu in India has gotten a lot of attention recently, when two opposed theories emerged in the media. While Hindus believe that this bridge was built by God Rama in order to reach Sri Lanka, there are some who say that it has nothing to do with Hindu God and the events of Ramayana didn’t actually happen.
Scientists claimed that the mysterious Adam’s bridge or Ram Setu, couldn’t possibly be formed naturally, which means that it’s probably the result of human efforts.
They show this theory on a promo of a show which is telecasted on a US Science Channel, with a caption “Are the ancient Hindu myths of a land bridge connecting India and Sri Lanka true? Scientific analysis suggests they are”.

The video showed images captured by a NASA satellite, and according to the investigation the bridge is a line of rocks that stretched around 30 miles from India to Sri Lanka. Apparently, the stones were kept on a sandbar build up between the land masses. However, once the detailed investigation was over, it was discovered that the stones are 7,000 years old while the sand is 4,000 years old.
Dr. Alan Lester is a geologist who claimed that the stones kept on the sandbar were probably brought from somewhere else and afterwards put there.
