The age your brain matures at everything — it isn’t even fully developed until age 25

Neuroscientists have finally confirmed what car rental places have actually figured out a long time ago: the brain does not fully mature until the age of twenty-five.

The part of the brain that is helping curb impulsive behavior commonly known as the prefrontal cortex, isn’t fully developed up until this age.

Assistant professor of psychiatry from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, explained for Business Insider: “The preponderance of young men engaging in these deadly, evil, and stupid acts of violence may be a result of brains that have yet to fully developed.”
